A Breakthrough in VoIP: FREE International Phone Calls!
July 22nd 2006 03:50
Forget Skype! A new project, called the Gizmo Project, is offering FREE calls (PC to PC, PC to Mobile and PC to Landline) to a lot of countries!!! All you have to do is download their software, register yourself and add all your phone numbers (check out if the phone numbers to your area is free or not here). Next off tell all your friends to do the same and add them on your contact list. Heck, if they are not IT savvy like you are, just register for them (please make sure you get some sort of approval first, as I do not want to be responsible for presenting this idea for it to be used for the wrong reasons) and call them using Gizmo on their mobile phone and landline for free (to those countries listed). I tried making a call to a Malaysian mobile phone number and it was crystal clear! Bye-bye Skype, and World, prepare for the next revolution in VoIP: the Gizmo Project! Cheers to everyone there
EDIT: Some additional info that I managed to get: Somehow Gizmo scales your talk time based on how many people you have on your contact list. The algorithm they used is not disclosed but I think that if you keep your list to a minimum, you should be fine.
